Last Saturday was the start of my 6 part Nature Drawing Workshop at Toronto Botanical Garden.  The workshop is completely full with enthusiastic beginners, and I’m really looking forward to working with this group over the coming weeks.

Day one focused on pressure control using two familiar drawing tools: the HB pencil and Bic ballpoint pen.  Future classes will involve a mix of different art materials and subjects, so it’ll be interesting to see what develops.  Below is a selection of feather drawings in various stages of completion.
