Butterfly Drawing at Toronto Botanical Garden

I had a lovely group of ladies attend my Butterfly Drawing Workshop at Toronto Botanical Garden this past Sunday.  For a few participants, this was their first art class in a very long time, but after a drawing demonstration, everyone got right into the enjoyable task of sketching these spectacular little insects.

Thank you to Gabrielle, Cindy, Helene, Joanne, Charlotte, Kathy & Evelyn for a delightful afternoon.  Joanne (top photo) drove to Toronto from the Finger Lakes Region of New York State to take part in the class.  She decided to make butterflies part of her vacation plans along with catching Beautiful - The Carole King Musical and taking in a Blue Jays game.

You all should be very proud of the the artwork that you created.  At first glance a butterfly might seem straightforward to draw, but they are far more intricate than most people realize.  Please contact me anytime if you have any further insect or art questions.
