LEAF Tree Drawing Workshp

The imposing gates at the Yonge street entrance.

This past Sunday marked the conclusion of the first ever LEAF Tree Drawing Workshop.  Although we had scorching heat for the first class and got soaking wet during second class, having such a friendly group of people made teaching a breeze.  I hope this workshop was inspiring....Toronto has some extraordinary trees and spending time outdoors to draw them is time well spent.  I'm happy to answer art related questions or make suggestions & provide feedback, so please don't hesitate to contact me.

The organization & promotion of the workshop was smoothly handled by the team at LEAF.  Thank you Lauren, Melissa, Susan, Tooba & Jackie for being such easygoing & reliable partners.  I believe we had 5-6 people on a waiting list, so it's likely we'll offer another session in the fall.

If anyone is interested in learning more about trees, Mount Pleasant Cemetery is an excellent place to visit.  The 200 acres are comprised of both native and non-native species, most of which are labelled.  The dense tree cover also attracts plenty of birds, so if you’re out for a stroll you might want to bring along a pair of binoculars.
