First off, a massive thank you to everybody who took part in my workshops this year. I loved all the enthusiasm which made for such a great atmosphere! Even the time it began pouring rain, nobody got upset or complained about being soaking wet.
One thing I recall hearing a bunch of times, was how calm people felt while sketching from nature, and how it was something they weren’t used to feeling. Of course, when I dug down a little deeper and they talked about the stresses in their life, it’s no surprise that unplugging from the world to sit down and draw would have health benefits. Draw a tree, avoid an ulcer.
A number of folks have been inquiring about future workshops, and I’m happy to say that there’ll be much more happening in 2017. Right now, I’m in the planning/discussion stage and once all the dates have been penciled in, I’ll post a schedule.
I can definitely say that I’ll be back at the High Park Nature Centre, Toronto Botanical Garden & doing outdoor classes with LEAF. New for 2017, I've got my first class at the Leslie Street Spit for the Toronto & Region Conservation Authority. If that goes well, we hope to do more.
